The U.S. Women’s National Soccer team defeated France 3-1 Wednesday afternoon to move onto the Women’s World Cup Finals.

The U.S. won behind goals from Lauren Cheney, Abby Wambach (the game-winner) and Alex Morgan (iced it) who now have a date between either Sweden or upstart Japan on Saturday.

Wambach once again provided the heroics after scoring in the 79th minute to break a 1-1 tie. This came off of a Lauren Cheney corner kick that was placed perfectly to the far post.
