After nearly 12 hours of negotiations on Thursday, the NFL and it’s players near an agreement on a new CBA. According to various sources the two sides have made significant progress on major sticking points including how to rein in the soaring salaries of high first-round draft picks.

Furthermore, these sources close to the negotiations confirmed that the two sides have been discussing other issues such as what free agency will look like moving forward and new offseason workout rules. Now although these issues still remain on the table, it’s always good to hear that they are currently being discussed.

The two sides will continue to talk Friday in hopes of coming to an agreement soon so that the start of the season will not be delayed.
