The Wolverines received some good news Thursday as junior defensive end Frank Clark announced that he would return to Ann Arbor for his senior season.

“I’ve talked with some people here and there (about the NFL),” Clark said in advance of Michigan’s appearance in Saturday’s Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl (10:15 p.m., ESPN) against Kansas State. “But at the end of the day, I’m coming back to school.” (Mlive)

The 6-foot-2, 273-pounder from Cleveland Clark investigated his NFL Draft status since the regular season ended this past November, something players usually do once they become three year’s removed from high school.

“I want to just be a stronger, way stronger, player,” Clark said. “I want to be stronger and I even want to get faster. You’ve got a lot of people saying I’m fast here and there, but I want to get faster — faster, quicker, stronger.”

Clark is coming off his best season statistically with 42 tackles (12 for a loss) and 4 1/2 sacks.
