Michigan looking to rename Brady Hoke’s head coaching title based on donor

Because you can never have enough revenue streams flowing into the school, Michigan may look to rename the official title of football head coaching position.

According to MLive.com, if approved at a Board of Regents meeting this coming Thursday, the school will officially change the head coaching title to the  ”J. Ira and Nicki Harris Family Head Football Coach.”

Through their foundation, the Harris family made a $10 million donation to the university for the “naming and endowment of the head football coach position.”

This wouldn’t be the first time a school as employed a ridiculous tactic such as this to generate more money for themselves. The official title of Stanford head football coach David Shaw is the “Bradford M. Freeman Director of Football” again based off which donor can fork over the most money.

Hell this isn’t even the first time Michigan has done this. The official title of AD David Brandon is the ”Donald R. Shepherd Director of Athletics.”

In addition to the head coaching title, the Harris family also has their name on the team’s locker room which is where this whole thing should be left at.
