Despite the teams struggles in 2013 and an offseason mulled in Brendan Gibbons controversy the Michigan football program is still scoring high-end recruits. With that said the latest prospect making his way to Ann Arbor is four-star defensive back Garrett Taylor out of St. Christopher’s School in Richmond, Va.

Ranked 8th nationally in terms of 247Sports’ composite rankings, Taylor stands at 6’1″, 188 lbs and ends a string of tough luck on the recruiting trail that saw two five-star recruits in George Campbell and Damien Harris decommit over the summer. Nonetheless too this is a mental win as well for the Wolverines and a chance for them to fully get back on track on the recruiting trail when you consider Taylor picked Ann Arbor over Stanford, South Carolina, Tennessee and Michigan State.
