Michigan Football and Adidas unveil new TECHFIT uniform for ‘under the lights’ game against Penn State

Michigan football traditionalist turn away…

Friday, Michigan and Adidas unveiled the new TECHFIT uniforms that will be worn during the ‘under the lights’ game against Penn State on October 11th. Aside though from the contemporary look this new alternate uniform is the first time in school history where of which the player will be covered from head-to-toe in blue.

Adidas issued the following:

The jersey and pants feature metallic blue, laser-cut stripes that shine under the lights while ultra-light, no-sew metallic numbers stretch with the jersey, and the compression base layer features the Michigan “M” on the bicep and “GO BLUE” across the chest.

I definitely don’t mind the all blue look to the uniforms but I just can’t get behind these altogether. Maybe it’s the metallic stripes on the numbers that will make the players resemble school crossing guard or construction worker or maybe Adidas just simply didn’t take the alternate design far enough?
