Notre Dame v Michigan

UPDATE: On CBS’ coverage of National Signing Day, former Michigan head coach Brady Hoke says he and his wife will take a ‘vacation’ for the next year and that he wants to coach again.

UPDATE: Brady Hoke has come out to refute the reports that he’ll be joining Notre Dame’s staff.

After getting the boot from Michigan back on December 2nd, former Wolverines head coach Brady Hoke is making the jump to one of his school’s historical big time rivals.

According to CoachingSearch.com, Hoke has taken a defensive position job with Brian Kelly’s staff at Notre Dame.

Here’s an excerpt:

“Per source, former Michigan head coach Brady Hoke will join the Notre Dame staff after Signing Day,” CoachingSearch.com’s report reads. The report says multiple reports earlier in the week “indicated Notre Dame defensive backs coach Kerry Cooks will join the Oklahoma staff, opening a spot on the defensive side of the ball at Notre Dame.”

After being hired in 2011, Hoke went 31-20 overall at Michigan including a Sugar Bowl win over Virginia Tech in his first season. Things however continued to go south from there capping off with a huge concussion controversy with quarterback Shane Morris and plenty of questions regarding his control of the team on the sidelines.
