Brosnahan’s Gem Lifts Wolverines Past Seton Hall

on

Senior/junior Bobby Brosnahan (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) allowed just four hits and a run in seven innings of work and the University of Michigan baseball team scored a pair of runs in the sixth inning in a 2-1 win, its first of 2012, over Seton Hall on day two of the Big Ten/Big East Challenge at Al Lang Field.

Brosnahan was strong in his first outing of 2012, putting up zeroes after the first frame. He gave up single hits in the first, third, fourth and sixth frames and stranded seven Pirates runners. Junior/sophomore Logan McAnallen (DeWitt, Mich./DeWitt) came in to pitch the final two innings, striking out a batter and getting a fly out with runners on first and second in the ninth for his first save.
