CBS: Michigan coach John Beilein voted ‘best offensive mind’ by his peers

We already knew Michigan head basketball coach John Beilein had one of the best offensive minds in college basketball.

But does he have thee best?

I guess it depends who you ask but according to the CBS’ Candid Coaches series, 16.9 percent of 100 division I coaches polled thought the Michigan head coach had the best offensive mind which was good for the majority.

Beilein was followed by Davidson’s Bob McKillip, Wisconsin’s Bo Ryan, Gonzaga’s Mark Few, and Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski in that order.

It all makes sense. Under Beilein, Michigan has emerged as having one of the most efficient offenses in the nation. This efficiency happened in consecutive seasons from 2012-13 and again in 2013-14 according to Ken Pomeroy’s model.
