Denard given 7-1 odds to win Heisman Trophy in 2012

According to noted odds maker Danny Sheridan (via AnnArbor.com), Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson has been given 7-1 odds to win the Heisman Trophy this upcoming season.

With those odds, Robinson has the third best odds (tied with Landry Jones of Oklahoma) behind USC quarterback Matt Barkley and Wisconsin tailback Montee Ball.

It’s going to be an interesting season for Robinson in 2012 given that it will be his second full season playing in Brady Hoke’s pro style set. Robinson showed some promise at the end of last season working within the system but seemingly took a step back during the Sugar Bowl against Virginia Tech.

Robinson announced earlier this year that he would return to Michigan after flirting with the upcoming NFL Draft in April.
