Michigan QB Denard Robinson was named the Big Ten’s co-offensive player of the week (along with Penn State QB Matt McGloin) as well as Rivals.com’s Big Ten Player of the Week.

This comes after Robinson rushing for 200 yards in Michigan’s 28-7 victory over San Diego State on Saturday from the Big House.

Robinson had a total of 293 yards and three rushing touchdowns in the first half including a season long 53 yard touchdown giving the Wolverines a 21-0 lead going into halftime. Those three rushing touchdowns tied a career high.

The impressive September numbers continue to mount for Robinson as Saturday marked his third consecutive 100 yard rushing game and his 12 career 100+-yard games ties him with Chris Perry (2000-03) in the 10th spot among Michigan’s career leaders.

Robinson now ranks fourth in the nation in rushing, averaging 138 yards per game.
