Field goals be damned as Michigan beats Wisconsin 14-7

The only thing worse than Michigan‘s placekicking Saturday could’ve been the play of Wisconsin‘s Alex Hornibrook.

While Kenny Allen and walk-on Ryan Tice missed three field goals between them leaving nine points off the board, Hornibrook compiled a miraculously awful day going 9-for-25 for just 88 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions.

However you can’t totally blame Hornibrook if you’re a Wisconsin fan. Michigan’s defense was playing on another level this afternoon sacking the Badger QB four times.

For the Michigan offense, Wisconsin held them in check for most of the day while Wilton Speight went 20-for-32 for 219 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

Speight’s one touchdown came on a late deep ball to Amara Darboh to seal the deal for Michigan.

Next week the Wolverines take to the road to take on Rutgers.
