According to Angelique S. Chengelis of the Detroit News, tight end Kevin Koger, center David Molk and defensive lineman Mike Martin have been voted on as team captains for U-M Football this upcoming season.

“The entire senior class has shown great leadership since the spring, and they all are looked up to as leaders of this football team,” Michigan coach Brady Hoke said in a statement. “Kevin, David and Mike are great representatives for our team and the University of Michigan.

“I will be honored to be led out of the tunnel by them and the rest of the seniors on the Saturdays ahead.”

Each are not only great leaders, but vital to Michigan on the field this upcoming season.

Martin was named to the 2010 All-Big Ten second-team by the coaches and has started 24 of 36 career games at defensive tackle. He has 108 career tackles and 6.5 sacks.

Tight end Kevin Koger has started a total of 19 games compiling 36 receptions for 512 yards and five touchdowns.
Last season David Molk was named to the All-Big Ten first-team by conference coaches and second-team by the media last season. He has started in 29 total games and was a finalist for the Rimington Trophy, given to the nation’s top center.
