Former NFLer and SDSU Aztec Kyle Turley went on a tirade on former SDSU head coach and current U-M head coach Brady Hoke over Hoke’s departure from San Diego State.

This tirade by Turley was done over the airwaves when he was being interviewed by 97.1FM host Mike “Stoney” Stone.

“I’m impressed with my Aztecs, they’ve got nothing to lose,” he said in the interview. “Hopefully the powers that be out there, man, will just kind of work in San Diego State’s favor.

“And Coach Hoke will eat a big piece of crow, and who knows, maybe that dream job will turn into his worst nightmare.”

Thursday, again on 97.1, Brady Hoke responded to Turley’s comments.

“When you eat crow, if you put barbecue on it, it’s not bad,” he joked.

Hoke went on to say that he respects and that he can’t allow the criticism to bother him.

“He’s a really good guy, he really is, he’s very passionate about San Diego State,” Hoke said. “I loved the way he played football. … Kyle’s passionate about his alma mater, which he should be, and that doesn’t bother me one bit. It’s a passionate Aztec, a former player.”

“That can’t bother you. Everyone’s got an opinion, and he’s allowed to have his.”

Hoke even said that if he were to meet Turley on the sidelines he’d give him a big hug.
