For the second straight week, Eastern Michigan went to overtime against their opponent and for the second straight week the Eagles came out on the losing end. Thursday night, EMU fell to Northern Illinois 30-27 after NIU’s Marcus Jones scored the only touchdown in OT to lift the Huskies to the win.

Meanwhile Eastern kicker Paul Fricano missed three field goals including a 42-yarder at the end of regulation.

The Eagles how now lost their last three games by three-points or less. Moreover, if you want to try and add a silver lining to EMU’s six game losing streak, each of those losses has been by seven points or less. So I guess at least they’re keeping things close.
