Michigan loses again to Ohio State

In a game of missed opportunities Michigan relinquished an early 14-point lead only to lose to No. 9 Ohio State 31-20 from the Big House Saturday afternoon.

For instance while leading by two touchdowns and the Buckeyes driving, Michigan defensive back Josh Metellus dropped what seemed to be a sure interception thrown from J.T. Barrett. Moreover it would have saved a touchdown since the Ohio State QB scored a touchdown on the very next play.

Meanwhile despite that early 14-0 lead for Michigan, the Wolverines very well could have opened things up more. Starter John O’Korn had his own problems missing targets finishing the day 17-of-32 for 195 yards, one touchdown and one interception. On the other hand, the Wolverines seemingly did what they had to do on the ground as Chris Evans and Karan Higdon each rushed 11 times for 67 and 55 yards respectively. Higdon also added a touchdown.

Next up for Michigan is a possible berth in the Holiday Bowl, hardly the prize anticipated for the Wolverines who’ll finish without double-digit wins for the first time in the Harbaugh era.
