Michigan CB Nate Johnson was arrested in the early morning hours Saturday according to Diane Brown, spokesperson for the University of Michigan Division of Public Safety and Security (via Mlive.com) for allegedly assaulting a female student.

Details on the extent of the alleged assault haven’t been made public other than the victim was located at an on-campus dorm.

Head coach Jim Harbaugh didn’t address the situation during his Monday presser nor did the team comment any further on the matter and instead directed media to a released statement from the Athletic Department. In that statement released Sunday, is was announced Johnson would be “suspended from all team activities” without originally giving a reason.

The 19-year-old Johnson – who’s listed as a redshirt freshman – is a native of Thompson’s Station, Tennessee and hasn’t appeared in any game action this season. He was originally a wide-receiver on the team before transitioning to cornerback over the summer.
