Michigan drops game one to Florida in College Softball World Series

A late Michigan rally came up short Monday night as the Wolverines dropped game one of the College Softball World Series to Florida 3-2. Leaving runners on base in all seven innings, the Wolverine offense fell silent for the majority of the game. That was until the sixth inning when Michigan finally broke though when Abby Ramirez hit a two-run single to get the Wolverines within one. However after putting two on in the final frame with no outs Florida pitcher Delanie Gouorley struck out Lauren Sweet after getting Sierra Romero to ground into a fielder’s choice. Gouorley then got Lindsay Montemarano to ground out ending the game.

Michigan will look to stay alive in Game 2 Wednesday night. If necessary Game 3 will be played Friday.
