Is Michigan going to lose Pep Hamilton to Jon Gruden and the NFL?

Wednesday, Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports was speculating that Michigan offensive passing coordinator Pep Hamilton could be considered for a job on Jon Gruden‘s staff with the Raiders.

Here’s what Feldman tweeted:

Feldman is certainly correct in terms of warning anyone not to be ‘shocked’ when it comes to the possibility of the Raiders going after Hamilton. However Michigan fans shouldn’t be shocked when it comes to any scenario regarding their passing game coordinator.

Frankly Hamilton has been pretty underwhelming since making his way to the program after a year in Cleveland with the Browns. It’s possible Jim Harbaugh fires Hamilton and replaces him with the recently hired Dan Enos. Or maybe Harbaugh knew Hamilton’s desire to maybe go back to the NFL which prompted the Michigan head coach to pull the trigger on Enos.

Either way, the possible loss of Hamilton certainly wouldn’t be a big one for the Wolverines.
