Contain Caleb TerBush
Purdue doesn’t have a ton of offensive threats however QB Caleb TerBush does lead the team in offense (181.3 yards) and is third in rushing (20.3 yards).
With TerBush completing nearly 62 percent of his 167 attempts with eight TDs and four INTs, the Michigan secondary cannot overlook TerBush’s capabilities through the air.
Quell Purdue’s confidence
Purdue is coming off a big win against an Illinois team last weekend in which the Boilermakers were able to keep the Fighting Illini scoreless for the entire first half.
Coming into this matchup, Purdue has a ton of confidence that hinges on a productive QB and a running game that’s putting up decent yardage.
It’s going to be important for Michigan to not give Purdue any further confidence to build from.
Denard Robinson must rebound
Coming off one of his least productive games of the season, speculation has started growing again as to whether or not Robinson is the right guy to have under center.
Against Michigan State Robinson was 9-for-24 for only 123 yards (42 rushing).
So far this season Purdue has allowed 206.4 yards passing but has gotten better these past couple of weeks.
This week Robinson needs to show that he can be the dual threat QB that many Michigan fans believe he can be.
Take advantage of the home crowd
Michigan is finally back at the Big House where they haven’t lost a game all season.
The Wolverines, in front of their home crowd, need to show that there is no post Michigan State slump in the making.
