Michigan lands four-star defensive back Ambry Thomas

Michigan continues to clean up on the recruiting trail within the State.

Wednesday night four-star Martin Luther King High School defensive back Ambry Thomas announced his commitment to Michigan via Twitter.

As you can Thomas selected the Wolverines over Big Ten counterparts Michigan State and Penn State as well as Florida and Pitt.

Standing at 5-foot-11 and 174 pounds, Thomas may have some trouble with some of the bigger receivers at the next level however his level of work in high school speaks for itself. Ranked in as the second best prospect in the State and 102 Nationally the Wolverines now have four of the top five players in Michigan (Thomas, Josh Ross, Jaylen Kelly-Powell and Corey Malone-Hatcher). Harbaugh however could secure all five soon as the top-ranked player in the State as five-star receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones out of Cass Tech is scheduled to visit Ann Arbor this weekend.

With Thomas in tow, Michigan now has 21 commitments for the 2017 class.
