Michigan is moving Drake Harris back to wide receiver

Drake Harris‘ time as a Michigan corner looks to have come to an end.

Head coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed the move during a Big Ten coaches teleconference Tuesday while also indicating that Harris is healthy from a series of hamstring injuries that has limited him to one game this season.

Via Mlive.com:

“Yes, yes,” Harbaugh said, confirming a Tuesday morning report by Scout.com’s Sam Webb. “We moved him back to offense, at receiver.”

Originally, Michigan was looking to fully capitalize on the multitude of Harris’ physical tools thinking they’re were going to be set at wide-out heading into this season. However with the Wolverines pass defense ranked second nationally largely without Harris and the offense featuring only Grant Perry as their only 100-yard-plus receiver the need has obviously changed.

The 6-foot-4 and 188-pound fourth year Junior, Harris has had 20 total appearances for Michigan football totaling out eight catches for 50-yards.
