Michigan remained undefeated after destroying Minnesota 58-0 Saturday afternoon from the Big House holding onto the Little Brown Jug.

Out of all the victories Michigan has had this season this one had to be the most impressive. Denard Robinson looked good throwing the football going 15-19 for 169 yards and 2 TDs. More importantly he didn’t throw any interceptions.

Michigan did a very good job mixing up the running game as well. Fitz Toussaint led the way with 11 carries for 108 yards and 1 TD. Vincent Smith may have been the most impressive though getting himself a rushing TD, reception TD and he even threw for a 17 yard TD.

What may have been the best sign in this game for Michigan though was the way Brady Hoke began using Devin Gardner and Denard Robinson. Before Robinson was taking out at the end of the game due to the score Hoke at times used Denard as a running back with Devin Gardner under center.

The Wolverines had 580 yards of offense, including 363 rushing.

The defense also played very well which is a hopefully a sign that Greg Mattison is making some good progress with the group. Michigan was able to hold the Gophers to only 177 total yards and 8 first downs.
Next week Michigan hits the road for their first road game of the season when they take on Northwestern.

The Majors Ann Arbor Player of the Game: Denard Robinson (15-19, 169 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs)
