The Michigan/Ohio State rivalry has gone well beyond the football field which has been a given for as long as anyone in the two State’s can remember. However now the rivalry has also apparently transcended onto the feet of the players.
This past season, Michigan made headway becoming the first major college football program to sport the Jordan brand, a subsidiary of the Nike empire. This obviously set off a marketing frenzy for the program which in some ways went stale during their time with Adidas.
However this year, Ohio State has been trying to make their own headway when it comes to what the players will be wearing on their feet.
Today, to counteract the Jordan kicks, Ohio State will wear the new LeBron James cleats which will go on sale to the public sometime next year.
Ironically, this might be the only time someone in Michigan will be cheering for Michael Jordan.
