Big Ten Tournament

Michigan wins the Big Ten Tournament

Michigan‘s improbable run through the Big Ten Tournament was complete Sunday with a win over the second-seeded Wisconsin Badgers.

Derrick Walton, Jr. had another big game leading all scorers with 22 points with D.J. Wilson and Zak Irvin following up with 17 and 15 respectively.

But lets not beat around the bush, Michigan wasn’t thought to be a team that could compete for a Big Ten Tournament title. 2016-17 was suppose to be a rebuilding year for the Wolverines and perhaps a trip to the NIT.

Oh yeah then there was that plane crash the entire team was involved last week as they was making their way out to D.C. for the Tournament. Not only were they lucky to be alive but the crash itself forced Michigan to arrive in Washington Thursday morning just hours before their Noon tip against Illinois.

Now the Wolverines have their ticket to the NCAA Tournament punched and the only questions that remain are which region will they be placed and are they potentially the most dangerous team in the country?

We’ll soon find out.
