Perhaps finding a little extra inspiration after a Wednesday meeting with Dirk Nowitzki, Michigan sophomore Moritz Wagner went off against Wisconsin tonight to the tune of 21 points in a 64-58 win over the 11th ranked Badgers.
Wagner’s night also helped Michigan overcome an 8-point second half deficit as the Wolverines handed Wisconsin their second straight loss.

Zak Irvin and Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman each scored in double figures with 18 and 12 points respectively but the night certainly belonged to Wagner who surpassed the 20-point mark for the third time this season. Off three from his season high of 23 points, Wagner was also 8-for-14 from the field while averaging 11.9 points per game this season while shooting a remarkable 41 percent from beyond the arc.
