Ohio State’s J.T. Barrett may become the first QB to win four-starts in rivalry game with Michigan

J.T. Barrett

Michigan will not only look to dash any potential hope of a playoff berth for Ohio State Saturday afternoon, they’ll also look to prevent Buckeyes quarterback J.T. Barrett from creating a little of his own history.

The senior quarterback and four-year starter has the opportunity to become the first in the rivalry to win all four starts if Ohio State is able to come out on top today in Ann Arbor.

Barrett’s knack for winning however is just an offshoot of Ohio State’s overall dominance in the rivalry over the past two decades. Since the turn of the century Michigan has accumulated only three wins over the Buckeyes not including the Buckeyes’ vacated victory back in 2010.

The previous two decades saw Michigan go 13-6-1 in the rivalry including six game undefeated streak from 1988 to 1993. Mixed in there was that tie that occurred in the 92 game from Columbus.
