Peppers, Darboh help send Michigan to 32-23 win over Michigan State

Michigan finally got their revenge on Michigan State after last year’s still miraculous loss in Ann Arbor.

Led by Jabrill Peppers‘ continues quest for the Heisman and Amara Darboh‘s highlight reel catch the Wolverines held off a Spartan comeback to win 32-23 over their in-State rivals Saturday afternoon.

Peppers got the Wolverines on the board in the first quarter after Michigan State’s early touchdown before going on to finish the game with seven tackles, a sack and a scoop and score at the end the game on a Michigan State two-point conversion attempt to rub salt on the Spartan open wound.

As far as Darboh goes, the Michigan wide-out did everything he could to make Wilton Speight‘s day easier especially after the Spartans brought the early pressure on the Wolverine QB. Darboh finished with eight receptions and 165 yards including this 39-yard, one-handed catch in the third quarter.

Despite the defense putting on a show in the week’s leading up today’s game, the offense put Michigan over the top this week avoiding the punt up until the fourth quarter. However the defense did still show up when needed including a goal line stand in the fourth quarter.
