Report: Michigan’s Trey Burke will enter the 2013 NBA Draft

Michigan basketball looks to be losing a vital piece to their success during the 2012-13 season.

According to Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski, Wolverine guard Trey Burke will declare himself eligible for the 2013 NBA Draft.

The announcement of Burke’s decision is expected to come at a press conference Sunday afternoon.

The reigning 2012-13 National Player of the Year, Burke is expected by many experts to be a lottery pick after another outstanding season in his sophomore year helping the Michigan reach the National Championship Game. Despite his smaller stature at 6’6″, Burke’s explosiveness, shooting capabilities and knowledge running the point should make him an excellent option for any NBA team looking to upgrade their back court.

This past season for Michigan Burke averaged 18.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game while also being named the Big Ten’s Most Outstanding Player.
