Rick Pitino on Michigan: We’re playing the Golden State Warriors

Michigan‘s offensive explosion Friday against Oklahoma State turned plenty of heads including Louisville head coach Rick Pitino whose team the Wolverines will face in round two Sunday.

In fact, Pitino was very specific in his critique of Michigan after their 92-91 win over the Cowboys.

Here’s what the Hall of Fame coach told the Gentry Estes of the Courier-Journal:

“We’re playing against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday,” Louisville head coach Rick Pitino said when asked about Michigan, according to Gentry Estes of the Courier-Journal. He added, “I watched the second half (of Michigan-Oklahoma State). I’ve never seen shooting like that since I’ve been a coach. It’s incredible the way they shoot the basketball.”

Likewise Michigan is probably sure to have a much more difficult time hitting their shots from the perimeter. Unlike Oklahoma State whose terrible at defending from downtown, Louisville is 13th in the country in defending shooting from beyond the arc.
