In a not so surprising announcement, Michigan quarterback Shane Morris confirmed via Twitter that he’ll seek a graduate transfer for the 2017 season.

The once promising prospect out of Warren De La Salle has for the most part been an afterthought at the University of Michigan. The 6-foot-3, 213-pounder never caught the eye of head coach Jim Harbaugh attempting just five total passes this past season.
Transferring however makes a lot of sense for Morris given the fact that his opportunities this upcoming season will be limited with Wilton Speight making a return as well as top recruits Dylan McCaffrey and Brandon Peters also taking up space on the depth chart.
Either way, per NCAA rules for grad transfers, Morris will not have to sit out next season no matter who he plays for.
