Tom VanHaaren of WolverineNation on ESPN.com reports that Stefon Diggs (Olney, Md./Good Counsel), the #10 overall prospect on the ESPNU 150 and the No. 2 overall receiver in the country is potentially interested in the Michigan Wolverines football program.

Michigan may have an advantage to acquire Diggs given there’s a familiar face on the Michigan squad in Blake Countess who was a former high school teammate of Diggs. Diggs was also impressed in the way that Countess got the chance to win the starting corner back job which he ended up doing.

“At first I was a little shaky with Michigan, because I knew Blake was one of the best guys out there but he wasn’t playing,” he said. “Then I noticed that he’s gotten the starting job. He worked for it and won it, and that makes me feel more comfortable that they’ll play the best guys.”

“As of right now I don’t have a top list anymore. It had been previously released, but I’m coming out with a top seven on Nov. 29, on my birthday,” he said. “I have to focus right now on my season, but I plan on visiting Michigan some time in December.”

Diggs mentioned that he would like to announce commitment during a press conference on ESPN when his high school season ends.
