Troll master Jim Harbaugh releases Michigan’s roster

If there ever was a class at the University of Michigan students could take on the art of the troll, Jim Harbaugh should be first in line to teach it.

Wednesday, the Michigan head football coach dropped his team’s roster – for the first time in months – on Twitter much to the appeasement I’m sure to fans, the media and the Florida Gators.

However upon closer look, the roster only included the players name, number, position, class and hometown. Omitted were the heights and weights.

Here’s what Harbaugh said Monday regarding team rosters heading into Saturday’s season opener against Florida.

“People make a big deal about our roster and not announcing our starting quarterback,” Harbaugh said Monday at his weekly news conference. “I have not seen the starting quarterback come out of Florida. Never any mention of that. Very interesting.”

“Yes, we’d like to have that information from them. I’m sure they’d like to have it from us. Right now, neither is giving that information.”

However despite the incomplete roster it did give some insight on some changes heading into the season. Notably, former linebackers Ben Mason and Jared Wangler have moved to fullback, former defensive lineman James Hudson moves to the other side of the ball to play on the offensive line and Nate Johnson is now listed as a defensive back after previously playing wide-out.

As far as the quarterback situation goes… Don’t hold your breath for an answer on that one.
