The Michigan Athletic Department confirmed Monday that true freshman offensive tackle Tony Posada has left the football program. Furthermore the Athletic Department didn’t offer any specifics on why Posada decided to leave.

The three-star offensive lineman out of Tampa, Florida, Posada wasn’t expected to get playing time this year however was one of the top 2011 recruits to come out of talent-rich Florida.

In addition to Michigan, Posada held offers from Kansas, South Florida, Missouri, Rutgers and Tennessee. Originally he chose Michigan due to its tradition of turning out top offensive lineman.
