Spike Albrecht and Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman scored 18 points each for Michigan but it wasn’t enough as the Spartans pulled away in OT for a 76-66 win over the Wolverines from East Lansing.

With Caris LeVert and Derrick Walton but injured and on the bench, the Wolverines were able to take advantage of some bad early shooting from the Spartans and head to the break down 29-24. Michigan was even able to outscore the Spartans 42-37 in the second half but it appeared as though the tank was on empty entering overtime as Michigan State held the Wolverines scoreless in the extra set.

Zak Irvin had 11 points for Michigan while Michigan State’s Denzel Valentine had 25 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.
