With the likes of Keith Nichol and B.J. Cunningham graduating this offseason the Spartans have taken somewhat of a hit at wide receiver heading into 2012. Some of the thinning at wide receiver was alleviated when Tennessee wide out DeAnthony Arnett announced he would transfer to East Lansing to be closer to his ailing father in Saginaw.

With the addition Arnett and incoming freshmen Aaron Burbridge and Juwan Caesar, the Spartans should be in pretty good shape at wide receiver in 2012.

However the wide outs may not be the point of emphasis on the offense as the Spartans prepare for the 2012 campaign.

According to Adam Rittenberg of ESPN.com, the Spartans may put more of an emphasis on the running game with a more experienced offensive line and the return of Le’Veon Bell in the back field. Not to mention Andrew Maxwell will be taking over for Kirk Cousins as the teams starting quarterback so Dan Roushar may be looking to take some pressure off his young signal caller.
