On Tuesday, Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio headed down to Zanesville, Ohio to with his father who had a medical procedure done. This is according to Michigan State sports information.
The statement didn’t get into detail on what exactly the medical procedure that Dantonio’s father underwent or when Dantonio would be back. However it did mention that defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi would head the day-to-day football operations until Dantonio returned.
Michigan State finishes up their preseason camp Thursday after a final team scrimmage at Spartan Stadium. They open up the regular season on Friday, September 2nd against Youngstown State.
