Central Michigan looked good out of the gate but couldn’t finish it out against Kentucky as they fall 27-13.
The Chippewas (1-1) were able to hold the Wildcats to two field goals in the first half to maintain a 13-6 lead going into halftime. Kentucky however was able to hold Central Michigan off the scoreboard in the second half scoring 24 unanswered themselves.
CMU quarterback Ryan Radcliff threw for 295 yards on 24 of 45 passing. Unfortunately for him and the rest of the Chips he also through two interceptions one of which came at a vital time in the fourth quarter.
Central had a big advantage in the air (295-114) and in total yards (383-344) however it was Kentucky’s domination in the running game (230 yards) that sealed the deal for them.
