Michigan State senior QB Kirk Cousins has been named to a watch list for the Walter Camp Award recognizing the collegiate player of the year.

According to Greg Johnson of the Grand Rapids Press, Cousins is joined on the list by last year’s finalist, Andrew Luck of Stanford and Oregon’s LaMichael James. The list of 40 is trimmed down to 10 semifinalists in November with the finalists announced in early December.

Cousins has certainly garnered his share of recognition the past couple weeks. In addition tot he Walter Camp Award, he was also named to the watch lists for the Maxwell Award recognizing the most outstanding college player and the Davey O’Brien Award recognizing the most outstanding quarterback.
