Michigan State had their first player taken in the NFL Draft tonight as defensive tackle Malik McDowell went 35th overall to the Seattle Seahawks.

The early returns on McDowell and the Seahawks are positive and whey shouldn’t they be? Seattle gets a a solid guy in McDowell who had a phenomenal career at Michigan State. There have been questions surrounding his effort but he’s a guy that could’ve gone in the first round given a few more head scratchers at the top of the first.
