Michigan State lost more than just their game against Michigan. The Spartans are now without the quarterback who probably should be starting the remainder of the games.
Today head coach Mark Dantonio confirmed on a conference call that redshirt freshman quarterback Brian Lewerke would be out for the rest of the season with a broken tibia. Lewerke apparently suffered the injury after a sack from Michigan’s Jabrill Peppers.
The good news is according to Dantonio is he should be ready for spring practice.
Dantonio said Lewerke's injury will not require surgery and that he should be available for spring practice.
