It’s been a good day for Michigan State football. After adding four-star WR recruit Aaron Burbridge from Farmington Hills Harrison the team also got a verbal commitment from cornerback Jermaine Edmondson out of Canton McKinely in Ohio.

The three-star recruit according to Scout.com picked Michigan State over Nebraska and several other schools.

Edmondson who stands at 6-0 and 170 pounds joins his high school teammate, four-star defensive end recruit Se’Von Pittman for the 2012 MSU recruitment class.

“Michigan State is close to home and I really like the coaching staff and facilities,” Edmondson told Scout.com. “It also helps that Se’Von Pittman is also going there, but that was not the main reason.”

Michigan State now has 13 verbal commitments for their 2012 class.
