P.J. Fleck is dishing out the cash for his ‘Row the Boat’ rallying cry.
According to reports the former Western Michigan head coach who was recently lured away by Minnesota is gifting the Broncos $50,000 to officially take the phrase with him. In addition, he’ll also pay out $10,000 yearly for a Western Michigan Football scholarship.
“As part of the agreement and to honor Bronco football accomplishments and his time with the team, Fleck will make a yearly gift of $10,000 to support a scholarship to be awarded to a Bronco football player. The Fleck Family Football Scholarship will be awarded each year beginning in fall 2017.”
Western Michigan will still be permitted to use the slogan when referring to Fleck and the team’s he coached at the University.
It’s still quite the generous contribution made by Fleck. Especially considering it was a phrase he came up with after the death of his infant son.
