Mark Dantonio and Michigan State has a thing with the upset.

In a game that latest the entirety of the afternoon after a lengthy rain delay, the Spartans destroyed any hope of Penn State making a run at the College Football Playoff when Matt Coghlin hit a 34-yard field goal to ice a 27-24 win for MSU.

It was Michigan State’s second upset win of the season and all of a sudden propels the Spartans into a first place tie in the Big Ten East with Ohio State after the Buckeyes’ stunning loss to Iowa this evening.
